5. Winston Reid – Sunderland
Defender Winston Reid was expected to depart the club before Bilic joined in 2015. His importance since cannot be understated and his goal against Sunderland this season further highlighted his quality.
Picking the ball up outside the penalty area in the dying embers of the game, Reid fired the Hammers’ decisive winner over their relegation rivals.
4. Dimitri Payet – Liverpool
Is there a better free-kick taker in the Premier League than Dimitri Payet? Definitely not, and his goal at Anfield further enhanced his reputation.
The French midfielder has played well below bar this season, but moments of brilliance indicate just why the Hammers are fortunate to have a player of his quality within their squad.
3. Edimilson Fernandes – Chelsea
Unlike his cousin Gelson at Manchester City, Edimilson Fernandes looks set to have a long-standing career in England.
The young midfielder joined the Hammers this summer and his brilliance was there for all to see during the club’s victory over Chelsea at the London Stadium in October.
Fernandes’ low shot guaranteed the Hammers beat their in-form rivals and booked a place in the next round of the EFL Cup.
2. Michail Antonio – Watford
In the 25-season history of the Premier League, there’s possibly never been a more audacious assist than Dimitri Payet’s at the London Stadium in September.
Payet came in off the right wing to make space in front of the Watford defence, before chipping the ball across the box to by placing one foot behind the other.
Michail Antonio knocked his second of the contest, but unfortunately, the Irons still lost 2-4.
1. Dimitri Payet – Middlesbrough
Dimitri Payet can make some defenders look foolish when they attempt to mark the French international tightly.
However, not many expected Payet to make an entire defence look as idiotic as he did when he put the whole Boro back line on their bottoms.
Payet’s incredible run guarantees his place at the top of this list, and a contender for solo goal of the Premier League season.
