The report claims “not all the decision-makers agree on his profile”, so perhaps his recent injury troubles have tempted them to look elsewhere.
The same outlet claimed previously that Daniel Levy had set a €25m (£22.4m) asking price for the 28 year-old, which seems ridiculously cheap for a player who was far and away the best left back in the Premier League not too long ago.
While fans were angered by the English international’s attempts to force a move to Manchester United last summer, they are relieved to hear he will be staying in North London, especially after such a quiet summer.

Ben Davies has been wonderful during Rose’s spell on the sidelines, but having both players available is a huge boost for Mauricio Pochettino, as he now has excellent cover at both full back positions.
If Tottenham are to mount a title charge it will have to be on the back of their rock solid defence, and keeping Toby Alderweireld and Rose could have a major impact on that.
