The work will be funded by owner Evangelos Marinakis.The stadium, post building work, will be able to host a total of 38,000 fans, a major increase on the current capacity of just over 30,000.The club hope to begin construction at the end of the 2019-20 season.And fans on Twitter have expressed their delight at the prospect of the City Ground being given a significant facelift.
