da fazobetai: [ad_pod ]Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they are to redevelop the City Ground.The Championship club have played at the stadium since 1898 and have not redeveloped the ground since 1994.However, new plans unveiled by Forest reveal that there will be a new Peter Taylor stand constructed, along with a museum and a new club shop, as well as a range of executive options and new restaurants. The work will be funded by owner Evangelos Marinakis.The stadium, post building work, will be able to host a total of 38,000 fans, a major increase on the current capacity of just over 30,000.The club hope to begin construction at the end of the 2019-20 season.And fans on Twitter have expressed their delight at the prospect of the City Ground being given a significant facelift.
Indeed, Forest could well sneak into the play-off places between now and May; they are currently ninth in the Championship table, three points behind sixth-placed Bristol City, who occupy the final play-off spot.
