Chelsea have experienced a busy summer transfer window, but they still remain hopeful of signing Simons from RB Leipzig, who reportedly turned down advances from Manchester City and Bayern Munich as he remains keen on a switch to Stamford Bridge. However, the Bundesliga heavyweights have issued a staunch warning to the Club World Cup winners, telling them that they are under no obligation to sell the ex-Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid if the asking price is not met.

At the end of last season, Simons conveyed his desire to leave the club after Leipzig failed to qualify for the Champions League.
