Arsenal fans received some good news on Tuesday after the club posted a video of captain Laurent Koscielny training at London Colney for the first time since that horror injury in the Europa League semi-final at Atletico Madrid last season.
The Frenchman left the field after only six minutes following a painful injury to his Achilles tendon, forcing him to miss out on his country’s recent 2018 World Cup success in Russia.
After a shaky start to the season by the club’s defensive setup, some Arsenal fans are relieved to see Koscielny on course for his scheduled return.
The 33-year-old is expected to be back in action before the end of the year and could have an important role to play in the outcome of the club’s season – their first under Arsene Wenger’s successor Unai Emery.
