da dobrowin: Take your mind back to the 2013/14 Premier League season. Liverpool were on fire thanks to the SAS strike partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
da winzada777: Since then Suarez has moved to Barcelona and remains one of the most clinical strikers in the world, Liverpool have declined and Sturridge has almost disappeared off the face of the earth.
That season, Sturridge netted 21 Premier League goals and was widely regarded as the most natural finisher in the top-flight. When Suarez left everyone just assumed it would be the 27-year-old who’d continue to bang in the goals for Liverpool. But it hasn’t worked like that.
I number of injuries have limited Sturridge to just 40 Premier League appearances since that incredible season and he has been the shadow of his former self. However, even when he has been fit, he has struggled for game time under new Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
That begs the question; what has happened to Daniel Sturridge exactly? It can’t just be injuries that have led to such a sad and sharp decline. Or can it?
