da fazobetai: The Sunday Mirror says that the England international was expected to leave Anfield after struggling to nail down a regular spot in the starting line-up under Klopp following a succession of injuries, with a number of clubs – including West Ham United and Paris Saint-Germain – interested in signing him.
However, the German boss feels that would cost more than the fee they receive for Sturridge to replace him with a player of similar quality, and as a result he could be staying with the Merseyside outfit.
Liverpool supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and while many were delighted that the striker is set to stay, others are praying he can stay fit in order to make a big impact next season.
