da bet vitoria: According to reports in The Telegraph, Chelsea could finally complete the £39.7m signing of Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on Friday with the 22-year-old due to undergo a medical after a deal between the two clubs was agreed.
What’s the word, then?
da cassino online: Well, Blues boss Antonio Conte has been keen to sign a new central midfielder this summer to provide competition to the likes of N’Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas in the middle of the park, and he has been desperate to bring Bakayoko to Stamford Bridge.
The Telegraph says that the Premier League holders have been waiting two weeks to book the medical in with the France international recovering from knee surgery that he underwent at the end of the season, while the French side were also not happy with the payment terms with Chelsea keen to pay £35m up front.
However, now they will pay £39.7m initially with add-ons to potentially follow, according to The Telegraph, as Bakayoko looks set to join Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero in joining the club this summer.
How did Bakayoko do last season?
He was brilliant and was a key part of the side that not only won the Ligue 1 title, but also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The defensive midfielder made 51 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals, including a crucial winning goal as his club saw off Manchester City in the Champions League round of 16.
What will he bring to Chelsea?
He will bring some more strength and defensive stability to the Blues having made 54 interceptions and the same number of clearances in 32 Ligue 1 appearances last term, but he is also comfortable on –and moving with – the ball.
The 22-year-old had a passing accuracy of 87% as Monaco won the title and he also successfully completed 54 take-ons.
When will he make his debut?
Well, Bakayoko hasn’t really taken part in any pre-season preparations as he recovers from his knee surgery and The Telegraph says that Conte doesn’t believe the player will be ready to play for Chelsea until September, meaning he will miss the start of the Premier League season.
If he does sign on Friday, the Italian manager will decide whether the midfielder will join them on their tour of China and Singapore.
