da aposte e ganhe: Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Paul Joyce of The Times reported that the Eagles are trying to sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun on loan.
da marjack bet: Now, this isn’t the first time that the south Londoners have tried to land the Turkey international.
Roy Hodgson’s side attempted to land Tosun in the summer of 2017 before he moved to Goodison Park, with the forward’s agent Ceylan Caliskan revealing that Palace were ‘hours’ away from landing his client.
“Crystal Palace were already scouting Cenk. They initially made an £8m bid which was immediately rejected. They then offered £12.5m spread over three years, this was also rejected. Finally they matched Besiktas’ valuation but there was just two to three hours remaining in the transfer window. The paperwork couldn’t be completed in time so the deal fell through.”
The Turk then swapped Besiktas for Everton the following January in a deal worth £27m, although he has struggled for consistent game time on Merseyside – Tosun made just ten Premier League starts last season, and only has two to his name this term.
In addition to Palace’s previous interest in the Toffees’ No.14, the Eagles also tried to land the 28-year-old again last January although a move to SE25 never materialised for Tosun.
Joyce’s latest update revealing that the south Londoners are back in for the Everton man once again is interesting, and also strongly suggests that Palace are dead set on landing their man – let’s see how the Eagles fans on Twitter reacted to the news.
This supporter named Liam seemingly does not approve of a move for Tosun, by saying that he’d “genuinely prefer Glenn Murray for six months” – opting for a 36-year-old with just three Premier League starts this term over the Turkish forward is telling.
Contrastingly, this fan with the username ‘Chrissy Palace’ believes that Tosun is the “perfect forward” for the Eagles, before saying that he “works very hard” and “score goals” – another supporter agreed with that verdict by saying that the striker is “about as good as we’re going to get” before branding the Everton man as “dangerous” with “a point to prove”.
Elsewhere, Jordan said that Tosun’s Everton displays have not been convincing, although this fan did admit that they’d rather have him than Fabio Borini who has also been linked with a move to Selhurst Park.
Lastly, this pair of supporters weren’t on board with a move for the long-term target.
One said that club chairman Steve Parish is “like a dog with a bone” over players he’s previously missed out on, before saying that the Turk isn’t even worth the money needed to secure a loan.

Furthermore, ‘Kevin The Eagle’ asked why Palace can’t show some intent and sign a player outright rather than secure a loan.
In other news, this Crystal Palace target would only cost around half of what the Eagles are looking to spend…
